AQUARIUS IT WINS ‘BEST INNOVATION IN SOFTWARE’ AWARD FOR COMPLIANCE TECHNOLOGY EXCELLENCE

Aquarius IT is proud to announce it has won the Best Innovation in Software award at the UK Business Awards 2025 – recognising the company’s commitment to digital innovation within the road transport sector.

The award highlights the success of Aquarius’s continued development of ClockWatcher Elite, the company’s flagship tachograph analysis platform, which sits at the core of its wider suite of technologically advanced, integrated driver and fleet management solutions.

Trusted by hundreds of operators across the UK, ClockWatcher Elite provides real-time insight into critical operational data and works seamlessly with other key platforms – including Asset Maintenance, the Defect Check App, Time & Attendance, Defect Reporting, and eSIGN. Together, these solutions support an operator’s and their drivers’ legal responsibilities – helping to streamline compliance, improve visibility, and manage operations more efficiently and profitably.

The win marks a significant milestone for the company, which has been designing market-leading software solutions for over 20 years to help road transport operators simplify the management of driver and vehicle compliance.

One recent standout innovation is the introduction of a unique Clandestine Check feature within the Aquarius App – developed in response to growing industry requirements around vehicle security and cross-border activity, with operators facing significant fines for non-compliance. The App itself is a driver-friendly mobile platform that integrates with all of Aquarius’s core compliance systems, bringing functionality straight to the driver’s fingertips and keeping them connected with transport teams in real time, from any location.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Mark Johnston, Managing Director at Aquarius IT. “This award is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our UK-based development, compliance, and customer support teams. It also reflects the strength of our ongoing partnerships with customers, whose feedback and collaboration directly shape the systems we deliver.”

“Innovation for us means listening, evolving, and delivering tools that genuinely make a real difference – which is why we are so pleased to be recognised by the UK Business Awards in this category,” Mark added.

Aquarius, who recently relocated to a new HQ in Lymm to support ongoing growth, continues to invest in research and development, with a focus on expanding functionality, improving system integration, and supporting customers with future-ready tools. Its digital solutions are known not only for their technical reliability and ease of use, but for the responsive, personal support that underpins everything the business delivers.
